Alexey Vanushkin

Alexey Vanushkin is a writer and artist based in Frankfurt am Main. He has a Meisterschüler degree from Städelschule and has exhibited widely within the context of contemporary art. Using text, video and minimalistic installations to create disturbing atmospheres, his works weave popular culture, literature, commercial production, personal testaments, intimate stories and official reports. He is currently working on a book-length philosophical inquiry into a theory of art, the production of artifice and social abstraction.
