Hyper Annotations 5.0

Hyper Annotations 5.0 is The New Centre for Research & Practice’s Public Program at the 61st Venice Biennale, opening in May 2026. Following its earlier editions, the project travels through the Giardini, the Arsenale, and the Collateral Events viua interviews with artists, curatiors and art professionals, to investigate whether the projects included in this year’s edition rise to the level of aesthetic judgment, rather than thge kind of structural critique that mnost political art claim to perform.

This year’s Hyperannotation team is made up of Leila Kaarina Barber, Khares Tokatlidis, Ecem Arslanay and Ilya Lobanov.
