Jurica Mlinarec

Jurica Mlinarec is an independent curator and graduate student of History of Art and English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. Until 2021, he worked at KONTEJNER, a collective focused on artistic practices at the intersection with technology and science, where he was involved in the realization of international events, editing publications, development of curatorial programs and international cooperation projects. He is currently taking part in the international project ArcHIVE – An integrative digital bio-art platform as a member of the curatorial board and editor of the project publication. In 2021, he founded the curatorial collective KUCCA with Klara Petrovic and Luja Simunovic, with the curation of the 36th edition of the Youth Salon in 2022 being their first project under the new collective. With the beginning of 2022, engaged in the work of Domino, Zagreb-based organization focused on artistic programs and artists working on borders of performance art, dance, theatre and new media. He was an intern at the Lauba Gallery and worked as a translator of publications of local galleries and international festivals. He was awarded the Rector’s Award of the University of Zagreb.
